Change to Vostroyans!

Well, there's been a change of plans. I am actually going to be doing my Vostroyans for The Tale of 16 (yes, we now know it's 16) Gamers. I changed because A) I already have about $150 of Vostroyans and I need to save some money for tother things, B) I need to learn to finish armies I already have ( >_< ) and C) My Vostroyan list is the only list I have that I am really happy with. I just couldn't seem to get my Space Marine list right.

Plus, Vostroyans are just freakin' awesome. My army is mechanised, so I can't wait to see my opponents faces when I bring out 6 Chimeras, 2 Armageddon Pattern Sentinels, and a Leman russ along with all my infantry.

Let's see your sniper rifles beat THAT, Eldar Pathfinders!

We eagerly await Feb. 1st

I can't wait to start building and painting. Just barely finished the list for my Blood Ravens. I even went out and bought a dry-erase board to keep track of the going-ons. This is gonna be awesome...

My current armies...

A little more about my 40k career:

1200 points of Tau Empire

About 1000 points of 101st Vendoland Imperial Guard.

About 500 points of Altansar Eldar

And, about 500 points of Vostroyan Imperial Guard.

The Tale of -insert number of gamers-! A painting challenge on 40konline.

Recently, I joined a painting group on 40konline. About a dozen members, myself included, are all starting new armies or new expansions to previous armies. We are given a budget for models each month and we must paint our new models before the end of each month.

I am taking on the Blood Ravens Space Marine Chapter. I am excited to start a new army, especially Space Marines, as I have been drooling over some of their new models for the past few months (read: Terminator Librarian).

I chose the Blood Ravens because their large number of Psykers. I think Psykers are some of the coolest characters in the 40k universe, especially Librarians. Plus, I really like the Blood Ravens combat doctrine. They will scout out an enemy and obtain as much information about them as possible before attacking. This is perfect for me, as I also love Space Marine Scouts. So I will definitely have a good number of scouts and a Librarian. The hard part is figuring out what else.
